The Lawry’s Casero story

Discover the Lawry’s heritage, the Casero seasoning collection and the ingredients that connect a restaurant-born tradition with everyday home cooking.

From a restaurant table to your own

A flavor story
with a place at home.

Lawry’s began with a very particular meal: prime rib at a Beverly Hills restaurant. The seasonings that followed became part of something much broader, helping home cooks bring a familiar savory flavor to the food they made for family and friends.

Casero continues that home-cooking conversation with garlic, herbs, spices and blends suited to the meals people make again and again. The collection gives you a starting point, while leaving room for your ingredients, your traditions and your taste.

A restaurant beginning

Lawrence Frank developed the seasoning associated with Lawry’s The Prime Rib. The restaurant and its signature prime rib became the starting point of the wider Lawry’s seasoning story.

2008

A new company chapter

McCormick completed its acquisition of the Lawry’s business, adding the established seasoning and marinade range to its portfolio of food brands.

2016

Casero expands the table

McCormick’s fall launch announcement introduced Casero blends including Total Seasoning, Carne Asada and Adobo with and without pepper, with Mexican and Latino-inspired cooking in mind.

The Casero approach

Give the cook
a good beginning.

There is no single way to make a family meal. A busy evening may call for a blend that already brings several flavors together. A slower afternoon may leave time to build a seasoning with cumin, garlic, oregano and a little heat.

The Casero range makes room for both. Total Seasoning works as a versatile garlic-and-herb base. Adobo with Pepper adds the character of black pepper, oregano and turmeric. Individual spices let you adjust the balance when a recipe needs a more particular touch.

We encourage you to choose by what you are cooking. Start with the ingredient list, think about the other flavors in the meal and use the bottle’s directions as your first guide.

Behind the bottle,
and on the label.

Lawry’s is part of McCormick, whose published food-safety approach covers ingredient sourcing, supplier expectations and controls through its operations. That company-wide framework provides context for the brand; the package in your hand provides the specific information for your product.

Read the ingredients, serving information and dietary marks on the current bottle. Pack designs and formulations can change, and products with a similar name may come in different sizes or ingredient combinations. Our collection keeps those options separate so that you can compare them clearly.

The best part is sharing

Make it familiar.
Make it yours.

A warm tortilla, a bowl of beans, a platter of vegetables and a little room for everyone’s favorite topping: a good table does not have to be complicated. The right seasoning helps the ingredients belong together.

We pair the collection with practical cooking guides, flavor comparisons and ideas that help you use what you buy. Choose a bottle for tonight, then find the next meal it can help you make.
